It's A....

BABY!!!
Tee-hee! We held strong and didn't find out the sex. But it's a beautiful baby, with all 4 chambers of his/her heart, both arms, legs, and all the fingers and toes! That's all that matters to me :)
Here are some shots :)

A Day of "Firsts"

That looks like a funny word, doesn't it? Well, today was a day of many of them. My first OB appt, my first ultrasound, and Jason's first haircut!! It was a very good day.

My OB appt went well, he said everything seemed normal, and that my due date would be 8/17, and they would do a r-c/s the week before. He also said they would tie my tubes if I wanted. But I'm not too sure about that. That seems all to final for me. So, anyway, that would have put me around 8/11 having a c/s. Then I go to the u/s later in the afternoon. She had a hard time finding the little bugger, but we could see the little heart beat flickering! She measured me 2 weeks earlier, which put my due date at 9/1. I'm not so thrilled with that answer! So, we'll see what happens in the coming weeks. I go back in 2 weeks and talk to the doc some more about genetic testing and the bloodwork I had done today. I'm so all about 8/11 rather than 9/1!!!

In between the doctor appt and my u/s, we took Jason to get his first hair cut! As much as I adore his curls, it was getting really ratty looking. So, we took him for his haircut. And he did relatively well, only cried a little.

So, without further ado: some pictures for your enjoyment.

This is just a fun pic of my boys and little fur-child

And this is a good example of what he looked like before the hair cut today:

Hey! Whattya doin' to my hair?
SG1L2791

I am not really happy with this!!

Oh? There's a balloon? Ok, you may proceed with the cutting.

I do NOT like this hot air on my head!!
SG1L2818

Ah. I feel so much better! And, I can see now!! There's no hair in my face!

And finally: the new baby B. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there is not much to see. You can see the sac, and the some of the white cloudy part is the baby. 6 weeks

In the midst of sorrow there is JOY

This has been my favorite phrase the last couple weeks. And for those of you that don't know, this is the reason why:

By the dates, I'm due around August 26th. And to answer the most popular question, I don't know if we'll find out the sex ahead of time!! :)

Love to you all!

Happy Halloween!

So, I'm a slacker. And I apologize for the 2 of you that actually read this blog ;) So, here's a little update. Ok, so I'm now working at Ocean Medical Center as a social worker on the stroke/telemetry floor. I'm actually suprised at how much I enjoy it! Jason is loving daycare, he has taken so well to it. We had a little adjustment with naps, he was too excited to sleep, but is doing much better. We were blessed with a new porch on the front of the house, it totally changes the front of the house. We are enjoying the global-warming-induced weather this fall and sitting out there as much as we can. And finally for Halloween, our little munchkin was a yellow duck. Although he was not thrilled with the costume, he was pretty darn cute. The daycare had "trunk or treating" in the parking lot, which we went to, however, Jason wanted nothing really to do with anything. I think he was overtired and done with the costume so we went home to hand out candy to the kids in the neighborhood. At home he promptly had a meltdown and fell asleep for 2 hours! Scott and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon sitting on the porch chatting with our neighbor and handing out candy. Life is good.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the pics!

It's a busy little month

It's August. More so it's the last 2 weeks of August, and it's now that I've decided to jam in as much summer vacation as possible. Even though I've been on "vacation" since April! Anyway, our little family has had a lot going on. Jason got his first pair of walking shoes at Stride Rite. This was big happenings, and he loves his shoes! He actually sits still for me to put them on and he walks pretty well in them. My baby is now a "waddler". I was offered and accepted a part time position at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. I start on the 27th and am looking forward to getting back into the workforce. With that, comes daycare options for Jason. We're going tomorrow to visit a couple places, but we're hoping for an opening at the daycare at the hospital. Either way, he'll be at daycare 2 days a week and with Scott or my mom on the 3rd day. The other days he will be with me and I'm looking forward to hanging out with my little munchkin on those days :)

This past weekend we went to our friend's vacation home in the Pocono's. This place is absolutely beautiful. It's in the middle of nowhere (but yet in a small neighborhood, it's hard to explain). We so needed the weekend away from life in general. Our friend, Linda, loves to cook, so there was not usually more than hour in between servings of snacks/meals The only real bummer about the weekend was that is was really chilly up there. We had grand plans to spend a lot of time on their boat at the lake, but it was so cold, we couldn't get out there until Sunday afternoon. Even then we were all in sweatshirts and jeans! Jason had a great time though. He got a few bumps and bruises on his head from falling into various pieces of furniture, but he shook it off and kept on going!

We had a couple mommy playdates, one with Aunt Laurie and Timmy and the other with Miss Carla and Sarah, Matthew and Nathan. Jason and I are both exhausted, and are looking forward to a relaxing rest of the week.
